Florida Crown’s 10th Annual Mountain Tour

Our first day of a four day mountain trek began Friday morning with a tour of the back roads of South GA ending in the afternoon when the group of the Florida Crown Region (FCR) Porsche Club members from Jacksonville, FL arrived at the North Georgia mountain top home of Rusty Russ, for a late afternoon welcoming social event and BBQ buffet dinner.

Saturday morning started early with the 45+ members of the Porsche Club caravanning through the very curvy mountain roads of north GA, TN, and NC, to include cruising the Richard B. Russell Parkway, riding the scenic Cherohala Skyway, taming the infamous “Tail of the Dragon”, and riding the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. They culminated their days almost 360 mile trip by staying at the Village Hotel on the grounds of the famous Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.

Sunday morning also began early with a photo shoot with all of the Florida Crown’s Porsche’s displayed in front of the Biltmore Estate, followed by tours of the estate, gardens, and winery as well.

Monday, unfortunately, a trip back home for everyone and a little lost rubber off the tires…….
